You are looking for a quick answer? Below we capture the most frequently asked questions divided in different topics so you can find the information you are looking for. In case there are still open questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

GENERAL HOTEL INFORMATION

Find below the answeres to questions about general hotel information.

What are the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is possible from 3 pm on the day of arrival. As our reception is staffed 24 hours, you can check in at any time later. Check-out time is 11 a. m. on the day of departure. Should you require a later check-out it is offered at an extra cost. Please contact the reception.

Where can I park my car?

Feel free to use our underground car park for 17€/night, the public parking lot `Stadthalle` or the public car park at the train station in the Nahariyastraße. These two options cost 10€/24 hours. Because of the many possibilities there is no need for a reservation.

Where can I park and charge my electric vehicle?

There are two public charging stations directly in front of the hotel. You can park your car 4 hours free of charge and pay 0,50€ /kilowatt hour. The public parking lot ‘Stadthalle’, located directly next to the hotel, also has several charging stations. There you pay the normal parking fee.
E-Bikes can be parked free of charged in the hotel car park. We have possibilities to lock and charge the bikes.

Can bicycles be stored with you?

We offer you a small free parking space in our hotel car park. Should there be several bikes from one group for example, we offer one of the car parking spaces and charge 17€/ parking space and night. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further questions.

When is breakfast and how much does it cost?

We offer an exclusive and rich breakfast buffet which daily starts at 6:30 a.m except on Sunday we start at 7 a.m.
Mondays to Fridays until 10:30 a.m. and on weekends and holidays until 11:00 a.m.. For this we charge 25€/person.

Are dogs welcome at the hotel Bielefelder Hof?

We love to welcome your dog for your stay at the hotel. We charge an additional fee of 10€/night and dog. A dog basket is available for you in the room. Dogs are also welcome in the catering area as long as the hotel’s routine is not disturbed.

Is there a wellness and fitness area?

For our hotel guests we have an exclusive gym with state-of-the-art equipment. A large wellness and sauna area can be found in the public adventure pool ‘Ishara’ directly on the opposite side of the train station, approx. 100m away from the hotel.

How far is the next train station and airport?

The nearest train station is the one in Bielefeld. It is right across the street in front of the hotel. The next airports are Paderborn-Lippstadt (60km) and Hannover (120km).

Are there any shops nearby?

Only a few walking minutes from our hotel away you find the pedestrian area of Bielefeld.
Supermarkets, drugstores as well as typical clothing stores can be found here. Walk through the city center and enter the Old Town of Bielefeld. Numerous boutiques as well as restaurants and bars can be explored there. The old town is at approx. 15 minutes walking distance.

Are there cycling and hiking trails in Bielefeld?

Bielefeld does indeed have good opportunities for cycling and hiking tours due to the
Teutoburg Forest and the linked hiking paths. We will be happy to provide you with further information and maps at the reception.

Do you have direct access to the congress center 'Stadthalle Bielefeld' ?

There is a gangway connecting the hotel and conference hall which is open for some major events. The event organiser decides wether the door is open or not.

How do I book a room?

Choose one of our individual offers and arrangements that suits you the best and book your favourite room category quick and easy online. In case you need assistance or consulting please do not hesitate to contact us by phone +49 (0)521-52 820 or via e-mail.

What equipment do the rooms have?

All our rooms are equipped with air conditioning, two small bottles of water, coffee and tea station with kettle, safe and hairdryer. Further amenities can be found under Rooms and Suites. An additional Tassimo coffee machine is located in the superior rooms, bathrobe + slipper are available in the junior suites and suites. Our Suites also have a filled minibar included and offer a seperate living room. Free Wifi is available in all room categories.

Do you have handicapped accessible rooms?

All our rooms are reachable by the elevator and several rooms in the comfort category offer level access showers. One room in our superior category is also a wheelchair-accessible room with a bathrooom equipped for these special needs. In order to guarantee such room for your planned stay, we would ask you to contact us by phone. The public areas like our restaurant, breakfast room and hotel lobby are wheelchair accessible.

Do you have smoking rooms?

All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. Unfortunately, we no longer offer smoking rooms. You are welcome to use our terrace facing the inner courtyard, which also invites you to enjoy drinks and snacks.

Is it possible to have an extra bed in the room?

We are happy to offer you an extra bed at an extra charge, depending on the age of the person. Since our rooms can accommodate a maximum of 3 people, we would offer you a connecting room or a suite for 4 or more people in order to guarantee enough space.

Can the windows in the room be opened?

As our hotel does not have a room with a walk-in balcony, the windows in every room can be fully opened. Only the balcony doors in several rooms cannot be opened because these are only decorative balconys.

Do you offer room service ?

Upon request and staff availability, both breakfast as well as dinner from our bar can be brought to the room at an extra fee.

YOUR QUESTIONS REGARDING COVID-19

Do you have any questions regarding the current pandemic situation and the impact on our hotel?

Is the hotel open?

Yes, the hotel is open.

Is there an obligation to wear a mask?

At the hotel is no mandatory to wear a mouth and nose protection. Our staff is wearing the mask nevertheless during their shift.

Do the employees wear gloves?

Our housekeeper wear gloves while cleaning the rooms and our kitchen staff while preparing the food.

How does the hotel take care of disinfection?

Disinfectant dispensers are located at the entrances and exits of the hotel. You will also find them on every floor of the hotel.
Handrails, door handles, elevator buttons and surfaces at the reception are regularly disinfected. Our employees are required to wash and disinfect their hands regularly.

What are the protection measures at the reception?

There are plexiglass shields at the reception to protect you and our employees. Furthermore we prefer debit or credit card payment. Pens and room keys are being disinfectet before we hand them over to you.

How can further guest contact be avoided?

We recommend the usage of our elevators with family members or room mates only.

How is a room cleaned?

Housekeeping is done with gloves. All items in the room will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly.

Is breakfast offered ?

We offer our breakfast buffet with some safety and hygiene measures to ensure the protection of our guests.

Is the fitness area open?

We ask for a reservation of a time slot in advance to make sure that not to many guests use our gym at the same time. It is open from 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Are the restaurant and bar open?

Our restaurant and bar ‘EssBar’ is open. Food is served from Tuesday – Saturday from 6 p.m – 9 p.m. Drinks will be served until 11 p.m. in our bar. On Monday and Sunday from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. we offer drinks only.

Am I currently allowed to travel to Bielefeld ?

Yes you are allowed to travel to Bielefeld no matter if it is a business or a private trip. We do not need a negative corona test result or proof of vaccination anymore.

How do I book a room ?

Choose one of our room categories and find the best offer on our website at ‘Rooms and Suites’ or ‘Specials’. You are able to book the room fast and easy directly on our website. What happens if there is a travel ban due to Corona?

Stay flexible and choose one of our offers with a free cancellation until 6 p.m on the day of arrival. In case you have booked one of our discounted early booking rates there is no cancellation free of charge possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us in this case.

Can I have breakfast and dinner at the hotel?

We offer a rich breakfast buffet in the morning. Our restaurant and bar ‘EssBar’ is open again and offers seasonal and local dishes from Tuesday – Saturday 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Drinks will be served until 11 p.m. and on Sunday and Monday from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

How many meeting rooms does the hotel have?

Our hotel has 11 conference and meeting rooms. The size ranges from 24-189 sqm for up to 180 people. Our event department will be happy to help you with any questions you may have. If you are planning an event such as a birthday or wedding our ‘Clubzimmer’ and ‘Kaminzimmer’ are an excellent choice for a successful festivity.

Do the meeting rooms have windows?

All our meeting rooms have windows and thus offer bright daylight. For darkening the meeting rooms, curtains can be drawn. All windows can be opened for fresh air.

Where are the meeting rooms located?

10 of our 11 meeting rooms can be reached at ground level. The ‘Westfalensaal’ is located at the 2nd floor and can be reached by the stairs or with a separate lift so it is also accessible for handicapped people.

Do the meeting rooms have air conditioning and free Wifi?

All our conference and meeting rooms in the hotel can be air-conditioned individually. Free Wi-Fi is also available in whole hotel.

How are the meeting rooms equipped?

Our conference rooms are additionally equipped with a telephone, video projector, variable seating arrangements, LAN connection, flipchart and a screen. Pads and pens are also part of the standard equipment for meetings and conventions.

Do you offer conference packages?

We offer 3 different conference packages – business, classic and superior. For more information please visit our site conferences. You miss something? We would love to create an individual conference package for your needs.

What packages are there for a festivity?

We offer several flat rate packages for your festivity or wedding. You can choose between a buffet or menu. For more information please contact our event department. We will provide you with more information.

Do you have parking facilities for meeting attendants?

If parking spaces are available, you are welcome to use our underground car park. We charge this with 10€ per day. In case our underground car park is occupied, you are welcome to use the public parking lot of the ‘Stadthalle’. They charge 10€/24 hours and you pay your ticket at the ticket machine in the poarking lot.

What are your opening hours?

Our restaurant and bar ‘EssBar’ is open. Food is served from Tuesday – Saturday from 6 p.m – 9 p.m. Drinks will be served until 11 p.m. in our bar. On Monday and Sunday from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. we offer drinks only.

What meals are offered?

Our restaurant and bar ‘EssBar’ offers regional and seasonal food. You can have cold and warm dishes and there are starters as well as something sweet as closure available.

Do I have to reserve a table?

There is no need to make a reservation because we have several seats available. But to be prepared properly we would love to see your reservation in advance.
